Nishapur glazed bowl, c10th Century. Thia glazed earthenware bowl is decorated in yellow, green, black and manganese pigments on a cream slip.  The center of the bowl shows a stylized deer, with long antlers, pointed ears and forked legs. There are floral ornaments and Kufic writing in the background.  The remainder of the bowl interior is decorated with circumferential rope and Kufic.
